    This information is located on their FAQ page, which is easy to find.
  • Do they supply a beta reader for authors?
    No, that is the author’s responsibility.
  • Are they polite about rejecting fics?
    Unknown.
  • Do they remove author’s notes or copyright notices without asking the author first?
    When I looked at a random sampling of stories, I didn’t find any disclaimers or author’s notes. So I would say yes.
  • Do they ever archive fics without permission?
    It doesn’t look like they would.
  • Are they prompt about removing fics at an author’s request?
    Unknown.
  • What is their plagiarism policy...do they investigate or do they take a complainant at their word?
    “Plagiarism is not allowed, and stories that are found to be plagiarized from other writers will be removed from the archive and the plagiarizing writer banned from further posting on this archive...the Archivists will be the sole authority on whether a story is plagiarism.”
  • Do they update at least once a month?
    It looks like they update a few times a month.
  • Do they make it possible for readers to leave feedback?
    Yes, via an email link.
  • Is their location stable, or do they move frequently?
    Stable.

    Yes, simple graphics that make it look elegant.
  • Is the site easy to navigate? (can you get to all the main sections from every page, or do they rely on the ‘back’ button an awful lot?)
    You need the back button.
  • How selective is the archive? (Are you likely to find a good story?)
    Not selective. It has a ‘Upload Interface’ for anyone to upload fics/images.
  • Are they a specialty (ship or genre centric) or general (only ratings restrictions) archive?
    General. [Editor’s note: not a ship-based archive, but they don’t allow het]
  • Is it easy to navigate within multi-chaptered stories?
    Each chapter has its own page (e.g., you hit back, and then click on the next part).
  • Are there search engines? Are they easy to use?
    They have - Quick Author Search, Quick Title Search, Quick Date Search, Quick Pairing Search, and Expanded Searches.
  • Are the indexes (author, title listings) clearly laid out?
    Yes.
  • Are stories appropriately labelled if they require warnings?
